...there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters
or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel,
who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time...
“It is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10,25)
When I used to read that verse back in the days, every time I thought it said: “God doesn't want to make me rich and if I am, I won't be able to go to heaven”, without realizing that the verse means something completely different and even promises me that I will have prosperity and abundance in my life, if I only choose to follow Jesus!
First of all, I want to make sure that everything is understood correctly. “The kingdom of God” does not refer to heaven. It refers to the kingdom of God right here on the earth. It refers to a life that is based on the system of God (His ways of doing things), instead of being based on the system of this world (the babylonian system).
Furthermore, when it talks about the "rich man", it refers to a man that stored up money in this system of the world and let the money rule him instead of him ruling the money. His life is all about they money instead of all about God.
So keeping this in mind, it is almost impossible for a rich man, that lives in the system of this world, to enter into the system of God and to receive all the promises that come with living in Gods system.
“Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God.” (Markus 10,27)
So if it is not possible to live in the system of this world as a rich man and at the same time live in the kingdom of God, there is only one possibility, and that is to leave behind the foul things of this world and follow God, because with Him it is possible to be rich and still live in His kingdom!
Living in his kingdom automatically brings prosperity with it.
God doesn't just want you to live as rich man/woman in His kingdom. He also wants you to experience 100times more blessings than you had in the system of the world! (Mark 10,28-30)
So if you're fed up with working and toiling to keep above water in this world, then it is time for you to do what Peter did. Leave behind the old and give what you have left from the world into the kingdom of God, because then not only what you gave will be given back to you by God, but it will even be multiplied back to you 100fold!
Then the difference between now and before is, that the prosperity through God doesn't come with hard labor, worries and toil, but it comes for free, so that you not only have more than enough for yourself , but also enough to spread Gods kingdom. (2. Corinthians 9,8)
No matter what's still holding you back in the system of this world, if it's your money, your lust, or anything else... let go and give it into the kingdom of God, because as soon as you move into His kingdom, you will have every one of your needs met and every wish come true. In His kingdom you will finally live the prosperity that doesn't come with sorrows and fear!
It is tough to try and live in the Kingdom of God (Gods way of doing things) and at the same time hold on to the system of this world.
As long as you are not willing to give up everything you have in the system of this world, you can’t enter into the abundance that God promises you in THIS world, that comes by living in the Kingdom of God, here on the earth.
Don’t cling to the material things of this world, so that you will be ready to experience a 100fold return of everything you gave to follow God! (Mark 10,28-30)
