For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,
but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds…
The only reason why you still fail in certain areas of your life is that you still overrate the flesh part of yourself (your abilities, your strength, your knowledge,…).
That trust in your flesh and that trying to do everything by your own strength means to fight after the flesh.
God also provided YOU with another set of weapons though, because He knew that you are too limited in the flesh. And you can never overrate His weapons, because they are able to do all things if they are used correctly!
Gods weapons are spiritual weapons and just like you war with your own strength if you act after the flesh, the same way do you war with Gods strength if you act after the spirit.
Could you ever manage to pull down strongholds in your own human strength, get all your thoughts under control and cast out everything in your life that is not from God (sickness, poverty, sorrow, suffering,…)?
No, you will never manage to do all these things in your own (fleshy) human power, but with Gods power (with His weapons) you will not only pull down strongholds, but also practice complete control over all your physical and spiritual surroundings! (2. Corinthians 10,4-5)
So where are you still trying to fight with your own weak, fleshy weapons, instead of using Gods mighty ones?
What have you prayed for the last few months but not seen any changes, just because you still try to figure it all out in your own ability?
Everything that doesn't belong to Gods plan or will for your life can be completely overcome and removed from your life, if you only dare to fight it with Gods weapons. Don't be defeated any longer and instead start practicing complete authority over your life, through Gods mighty weapons!
Even though you walk in the flesh, you shouldn’t war after the flesh, for your flesh is far too weak to fight what you were called to fight!
You have Gods own spiritual weapons at your disposal and with those you cannot only overcome every spiritual power, but also every carnal power.
You were called to battle but destined to win! Stop getting beaten and start living in the victory, by putting your flesh under authority of your spirit and putting Gods weapons to work! (2. Corinthians 10,3-5 & Ephesians 6,10-17)
